Capt Keith here. Gail is not feeling very well tonight, so I thought I would give you a very quick update on our progress,
We had a perfect offshore day. We left out of Morehead City at 7:00am. We were the first boat out of the marina. There were a LOT of boats heading out the inlet today and running out in the ocean. Lots of big vessels and sportfish boats heading south. We saw a few smaller trawlers too.
Cruising conditions were ideal. North wind at 5kts and waves 1 foot. We rounded Frying Pan Shoal at 11:30 this morning and set our waypoint for the Winyah Bay Inlet and Georgetown, SC. We cruised 199 miles today in just under 9 hours. The boat ran great and we traveled all day at 20kts or 23mph.
We tied up the boat at Harborwalk Marina this afternoon at 3:45. I gave Southern Style a quick wash down and then had a cold beer. We ate hamburgers on board tonight since Gail was not feeling well. We plan to stay in Georgetown for two nights. Tomorrow night we hope to get out and go to the Rice Paddy for dinner since it has a great reputation. Then it is on to Charleston on Friday.
I'm sure if Gail is feeling better tomorrow she will provide an update. Until then...

Unless there are new owners, I think Rice Paddy is closed. Too bad as it was once of our favorites. I'm no expert but the shrimp and grits at the River Room are pretty good.
You are correct Pete. The Rice Paddy is closed. Bummer! The new restaurant is called The Sly Fox. We will need to ask some of the locals today where we should dine this evening.
