Bohicket, SC to Beaufort, SC

We left Bohicket Marina in Johns Island, SC around 8:30 AM on Tuesday in beautiful weather.  The ride down to Beaufort was smooth with a mid to high tide most of the way.  This was a good thing as there was a very skinny (shallow) section about midway to Beaufort that we probably could not get past with Southern Style at low tide.  Here is what the "Low Country" looks like at high tide.

We even had several dolphins following us during the trip.  No matter how often you see them, they are always so cool to photograph.

Once we were tied up in Beaufort and Southern Style was given a quick clean up; we headed out for a horse drawn carriage ride to get the lay of the downtown/historic district.  "Stucky" gave us a great ride around town.

The Spanish moss hanging above the streets is just beautiful.

Once we finished our carriage ride Keith and I walked back to Southern Style.  This is the waterfront and Southern Style at the end of the face dock.

Also a view of the waterfront park from Southern Style.

We decided to have oysters on the half shell for appetizers on the back of Southern Style.  We had a few left in the cooler from the weekend and could not let them go to waste.

It was another awesome day to say the least.
